About Us

To be honest, there are too many people who contribute their skills, effort & energy to the farm. From generous landlords to understanding neighbors.  From helpful farmers willing to loan equipment in a pinch to loyal customers & friends who show up weekly to purchase farm grown products.  We are all connected.

Sarah Hewitt

Sarah has always had a strong connection to the Earth & all plants & animals that call it home. She studied horticulture in college and has been farming organically and biodynamically since 1996. Sarah is engaged in her local community and is proactive in affecting positive change in Maines farming community.

So much magic happens on 10 little acres. The land currently holds a small apple orchard which provides the most delicious cooking apples. We hope to expand  tree plantings in the future to include peaches, pears and stone fruits in our permaculture plans. Pasture raised poultry is a facet of the farm organism, providing nitrogen rich nutrients to the soil as well as  some comic relief

The farm is often host to outdoor gatherings.  Every other Tuesday during the warm summer months,  farm and community members come together to share a meal, play, paint or work on a farm project. More often than not, we are graced with a gorgeous sunset, a fire and spectacular stargazing.

Sharing knowledge.  Against an amazing sunset, Sarah teaches  Seb and Alden about the workings of the farm tractor while the brothers teach her about the importance of having some fun.

Cultivating that community vibe in a beautiful setting.

Moon watching o're the privy.

Where would we be without our furry coworkers? Arlo is one of MANY dogs who enjoy the farm life.  He is a regular face at the farm; his duties include welcoming committee, nap expert and compost flavor appraiser.
